Paramount+ has released the first teaser for Frisco King, a new crime drama starring Samuel L. Jackson and a spin-off of Tulsa King. Created and written by Taylor Sheridan, the series follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. as he expands his criminal operations. The character was introduced in the third season of Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone. Watch the teaser below.
The teaser introduces Russell Lee Washington Jr., known as Lee, as he enters a new chapter in his criminal career. After leaving New Orleans, he moves to Frisco, Texas, where he sees an opportunity to expand his business in the seemingly peaceful American suburbs.
In the series, the gangster aims to turn small-time schemes into increasingly profitable operations. To do so, he assembles a crew of allies, including an ambitious protégé, a trusted driver, and other partners with unusual skills. However, as his empire grows, so do the risks, forcing Lee to find new ways to overcome obstacles and keep his rivals in check.
Sylvester Stallone to Appear in Frisco King
The story of Frisco King is directly connected to Tulsa King. Russell Lee Washington Jr. was introduced in the original series’ third season as an old acquaintance of Dwight Manfredi, the character played by Sylvester Stallone.
In the spin-off, Lee sets out to build a criminal empire of his own in Texas. Stallone’s appearance has been confirmed, strengthening the connection between the two shows. The actor also serves as an executive producer alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Taylor Sheridan.
In addition to Samuel L. Jackson, the Frisco King cast includes Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate, and Savanna Gann. Sylvester Stallone will make a special appearance, reprising his role as Dwight Manfredi, the lead character in Tulsa King.
Taylor Sheridan wrote all eight episodes of the first season. Directing duties are split between Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman, with each directing four episodes. Voros also directs the series premiere. The show is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
Frisco King premieres exclusively on Paramount+ on December 18, 2026. The first season will consist of eight episodes, with two episodes released on premiere day. The remaining episodes will debut weekly on Fridays.
