Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for River, a new slasher horror film starring Jane Levy (Evil Dead) and Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day). The movie marks Joshua Giuliano’s feature directorial debut, with the filmmaker also writing the screenplay. Check out the trailer below.

After their father’s death, three estranged siblings reunite in their hometown to scatter his ashes at a secluded stretch of river that held special meaning for him. However, when their boat breaks down, leaving them stranded far from help and without cell service, what was supposed to be a final farewell turns into a nightmare.

As they struggle to survive, the siblings discover they are being hunted by a faceless killer who has emerged from the woods. To escape, they must put aside their long-standing grievances and work together against a relentless enemy.
