Sony Pictures Brasil has released a new trailer for Jumanji: Open World, the next installment in the franchise starring Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, and Karen Gillan. The preview features never-before-seen footage from the adventure. Check it out!
The preview highlights the blend of action, comedy, and fantasy that has defined the franchise’s recent films. The characters face high-speed chases, dangerous creatures, and chaotic situations as they try to understand the consequences of Jumanji spilling into the real world.
Another element featured in the trailer is the avatars’ struggle to function normally outside the video game. Stuck in a sort of demo mode, they must deal with limitations that make their mission even more challenging.
The story follows the group of protagonists after they believe they have finally escaped the dangers of the game. However, a problem with the console allows elements of Jumanji to break through the screen and enter the outside world, turning ordinary places into adventure-filled battlegrounds.
Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan return as the avatars Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, Professor Sheldon Oberon, and Ruby Roundhouse, respectively.
The cast also includes returning stars Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, and Ser’Darius Blain, who play Spencer, Bethany, Martha, and Fridge. Nick Jonas, Rhys Darby, and Danny DeVito are also among the franchise veterans returning for the new installment.
Jake Kasdan, who directed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), returns to direct the film. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
