Teaser

The teaser contains no dialogue — only longing. We see Elizabeth sitting on the roof of her home, gazing at the setting sun, before the shot cuts to a handwritten letter from Mr. Darcy. Elizabeth runs along muddy paths, lingering glances are exchanged through carriage windows, and we catch a glimpse of the pair dancing at a ball. The final image shows Darcy on horseback, staring into the distance — presumably in Elizabeth’s direction.

In early 19th-century rural England, the Bennet family lives under constant, unspoken pressure: five daughters to marry off, a modest fortune, and a mother determined to secure their futures at any cost.

Everything changes when Fitzwilliam Darcy, a wealthy aristocrat known for his cold manners and impeccable reputation, crosses paths with Elizabeth Bennet at a country ball. Their encounter should be unremarkable — just another evening and another wealthy stranger. But an immediate tension develops between them, something neither quite knows how to name: discomfort, disapproval, and something even more unsettling.

Over the course of six episodes, Elizabeth and Darcy must navigate class differences, family interference, and their own stubborn natures to discover whether what they feel for each other is hatred — or its opposite. Witty and independent, Elizabeth refuses to bow to the expectations of a society that treats women as commodities to be traded. Proud and reserved, Darcy discovers that money and status cannot protect him from being completely disarmed by a woman who simply isn’t impressed by him.

Meanwhile, the Bennet family is full of intrigue: Mrs. Bennet tirelessly schemes to find suitable matches for her daughters; sweet-natured Jane blossoms alongside the amiable Mr. Bingley; and impulsive Lydia falls for Wickham’s dangerous charm. Everywhere, the unwritten rules of Georgian England take their toll — on everyone.
